YOUR PROJECT, YOUR LEVEL OF INVOLVEMENT

Choose the Right Construction Support for Your Bentonville Build

You don't necessarily need to hire a full-service home builder to get the benefits of ICF construction. The right arrangement depends on who's managing the project, how much work you want our team to handle, and where you're building.

01 / DRY-IN PACKAGE

Legacy System Dry-In Package

For homeowners who want the structural shell completed before managing the remaining work.

Our Legacy System takes the project through the agreed dry-in stage, including the foundation, ICF walls, and roof system. It gives you a defined point to transition into the next construction phases with your own general contractor or selected trades.

This is often a practical choice for Northwest Arkansas homeowners who want our specialized structural construction experience while keeping more control over the remaining work and its costs.

02 / ICF INSTALLATION

ICF Walls & Footers Installation

For homeowners and general contractors who need an experienced ICF installation crew.

If you already have a contractor overseeing the build, we can focus on the ICF portion of the project. This allows your builder to continue managing the overall construction while our team handles the specialized concrete form work.

03 / CUSTOM HOME CONSTRUCTION

Full Custom ICF Home Construction

For homeowners who want one builder to manage the complete project.

We also offer full custom ICF home construction. However, for projects farther from our Missouri home base, significant travel charges may apply.

We'll discuss your location, project scope, and preferred level of involvement so you can make an informed decision about whether full-service construction or a dry-in arrangement makes more sense.

More Than ICF Walls: A Structural Approach Built to Work Together

The walls are an important part of an ICF home, but they're only one piece of the structure.

Our Legacy System was developed around the connections between the foundation, reinforced concrete walls, and roof. Instead of looking at those elements independently, we use a coordinated construction approach that considers how they work together.

The system includes several components we've incorporated into our ICF building method:

01

Monolithic Footing and Wall Construction

Our footing approach is designed to connect the foundation and reinforced concrete wall system.

02

Waterproofing Considerations

We use waterproof concrete additives as part of our structural construction approach.

03

Engineered Roof Support

Custom Rehkemper trusses and steel tie-down components help connect the roof system to the rest of the structure.

04

Dry-In Completion

The package includes applicable slab work, interior framing labor, and setting windows and exterior doors to prepare the building for later construction.

The specific work included in your package is established in your project proposal.

PLANNING THE NEXT PHASE

What Happens After the Dry-In?

Once the agreed work is complete, you can coordinate the remaining construction with your general contractor or manage the next phases yourself.

Electrical, HVAC, interior finishes, and other remaining work still need to be planned. That's why we believe the handoff should be understood before construction begins, not after the structural work is finished.

For Bentonville homeowners who want greater involvement in their build, this can provide a practical balance between specialized construction and control over the finishing stages.

SUPPORT FOR GENERAL CONTRACTORS

Already Have a Builder? Bring Us in for the ICF Installation.

An experienced general contractor may be fully capable of managing a custom home but not have an ICF installation crew.

That's where our subcontracting services fit.

ICF walls require attention to form alignment, reinforcement, bracing, concrete placement, and connections to the surrounding structure. These details need to be coordinated with the building plans and the other work happening on-site.

We can work with your contractor on the ICF scope while they remain responsible for the overall project.

This arrangement can be useful when the homeowner wants reinforced concrete construction but already has a builder, construction schedule, and subcontractor relationships in place.

What Should You Have Ready for an ICF Build in Bentonville?

You don't need every decision finalized before reaching out. But a few details can make the first conversation more productive

and help us understand which services fit your project.

Your Property or Proposed Build Location

Let us know where you're planning to build. Site access, grading, drainage, and foundation requirements can influence construction planning, so the property matters just as much as the floor plan.

Your Plans and Structural Design

If you already have drawings, we can discuss where the ICF work fits into the proposed structure. If you're still developing your plans, it's useful to talk about ICF early so the wall system and other structural components can be considered before the design is finalized.

Your Construction Arrangement

Will you act as your own general contractor? Do you already have a builder? Or would you prefer someone to manage the complete construction process?

The answer helps us determine which service makes the most sense for your project.

Your Project Goals

Tell us what matters most to you. Some homeowners are primarily interested in storm resilience. Others want improved comfort, quieter living spaces, or better energy performance.

Understanding those priorities helps frame the conversation around the home you're actually planning to build.

WHY WE SPECIALIZE IN ICF

Construction Experience That Shapes How We Build

David and Nancy of ICF Walls of the Ozarks
ICF Walls of the Ozarks
11+ Years Focused on ICF Construction
200+ Completed ICF Projects
26+ Years General Contracting Experience

Our background in home construction started long before we began specializing in insulated concrete forms.

After more than 14 years building conventional custom homes, David was approached by a homeowner who wanted to build with ICF. He was initially hesitant about the method, but after researching it and working through that first project with an experienced ICF mentor, he saw the advantages firsthand.

We continued building with ICF, and it became the focus of our work.

Today, our experience includes more than 11 years focused on ICF construction, over 200 completed projects across the region, and more than 26 years of general contracting experience. Our team is certified by Nudura and Fox Blocks.

What matters most to us isn't simply that a home has concrete walls. It's how the structure is put together.

We pay attention to the relationship between the foundation, wall reinforcement, roof connections, and the construction decisions that affect the finished building. Those are the details behind our Legacy System and the reason we specialize in this type of work.

We also believe homeowners should understand what they're paying for and have the freedom to participate in their project at a level that makes sense for them.

BENTONVILLE & NORTHWEST ARKANSAS SERVICE AREA

ICF Construction Services Across Northwest Arkansas

Bentonville is part of the Northwest Arkansas area served by ICF Walls of the Ozarks. We also work with homeowners and contractors in Rogers and other communities throughout our regional service area.

Our construction services are available in both Missouri and Arkansas, but project location can affect the cost and practicality of different arrangements.

For full custom homes more than an hour from our home base, significant travel charges apply. That's one reason we often recommend discussing our Legacy System Dry-In Package for longer-distance projects. It allows our team to complete the agreed structural work while the homeowner or their contractors take over the remaining construction.

We'll review your location, plans, and preferred construction arrangement to help you understand which approach fits your project.

COMMON QUESTIONS ABOUT ICF CONSTRUCTION

What Bentonville Homeowners

and Builders Should Know

  • Can I hire you just to install the ICF walls?

Yes. We offer specialized ICF installation services for projects in our Bentonville service area. You can work with our team for that portion of construction while your general contractor manages the rest.

  • What is the difference between an ICF installation and a Legacy Dry-In Package?

ICF installation focuses on the agreed insulated concrete form construction work. The Legacy System covers a broader structural package intended to bring the building through the agreed dry-in stage, including the roof and other applicable components.

  • Can I finish my home with my own contractors after dry-in?

Yes. You can coordinate the remaining construction with your own general contractor or manage the work yourself. We recommend deciding who will be responsible for each stage before the project begins.

  • Do you build complete custom ICF homes in Bentonville?

Yes. Full custom ICF home construction is available in Northwest Arkansas, including Bentonville. However, significant travel charges apply to full-service projects more than an hour from our Missouri home base.

For that reason, our Legacy System Dry-In Package may be a more practical option for homeowners who are comfortable managing the remaining work or hiring their own contractors.
